Collaborating with The Fillmore and Creating a Special Blend

The Fillmore is a historic music venue in San Francisco that’s a favorite among artists and fans for its unique charm and intimate setting. If you haven’t had the chance to visit, now is the perfect time to check out events they have lined up this month–and while you’re at it, visit eight local businesses celebrating the Fall season at the Fillmore, including yours truly!

We’re honored that The Fillmore invited us to participate in their Fall celebration, and during our initial brainstorming session, we knew that the best way to keep it fun and fresh is to create a custom blend. The Fillmore is famous for greeting audiences with a barrel of Red Delicious apples at every show, so we knew we wanted to develop a blend with apple notes. We also wanted this blend to bring a sense of warmth and comfort since it’s autumn. I selected three coffees for their unique qualities, all from different origins, and created five roasted samples for The Fillmore team to taste and decide their favorite. Although we wanted The Fillmore to make the final decision, everyone in the room–including Andytown staff–had chosen the same coffee as their top choice!

Our Fall at The Fillmore Blend is a trifecta of some of our favorite coffee origins. Ethiopian coffee adds brightness and notes of apple, Colombian coffee provides a lot of caramel sweetness, and Brazilian coffee provides a deep, chocolatey base. It’s sweet and smooth on its own, and a splash of cream will make your drinking experience even more indulgent.

The custom label for this blend features retro poster-inspired artwork by Galine Tumasyan. We love it so much that we also made a limited-edition T-shirt.

We’re diggin’ this blend a lot and think you will, too. It will only be around in September, so pick up a few bags while we have it in stock. One dollar from every bag sold of this limited release will benefit the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation, a foundation formed in memory of music promoter Bill Graham that supports projects in Northern California focusing on music, the arts, education, social work, and environmental protection.
