Mayra Orellana-Powell was born and raised in the coffee-growing region of Santa Elena. She founded Catracha Coffee Company, a social enterprise that helps local smallholder farmers produce specialty coffee. Maria Adela Nolasco is one of their member farmers, and we have been purchasing her entire lot since our early days of partnership with Catracha. Adela’s coffee is full and rich, with flavors of red grape, sweet plantain, and butter pecan!
Our goal is to send you the freshest coffee possible. Sometimes, this means that we will take a day or two to process orders. Orders placed on Saturdays and Sundays will be roasted on Monday and shipped on Tuesday. Weekday orders usually ship next-day. Bags are 8 oz.
